Storskogen company wins international award for innovative automation

Storskogen company PV Systems has been awarded Most Innovative Automation 2025, an accolade presented by ABB Robotics to recognise the most pioneering projects in robot automation across Europe.
PV Systems, specialised in customised automation solutions, received the award for developing the world’s first robotic automation system for adjusting a combustion engine. The solution, created in collaboration with Husqvarna Group, consists of six robots that, through advanced algorithms, optimise engines with a level of precision far beyond what can be achieved manually. The result is a more efficient and reliable process, enabling higher production volumes and improved working conditions.
The award was announced at a ceremony in Brussels, where PV Systems was named winner among four European finalists.
“Winning this award in such strong competition is an important milestone for us and for Swedish technology. The project started with a request from Husqvarna to automate their engine adjustment process, and after several years of collaboration and development we were able to deliver a unique solution. It offers higher precision, increased reliability and improved safety, and paves the way for further automation initiatives in other production areas”, says Roger Käll, CEO of PV Systems.
The award represents an important recognition of PV Systems’ technical expertise and confirms the company’s position as a leading player in automation on the European market.
