Storskogen acquires Hans Kämmerer in Germany
Storskogen has acquired a majority stake in Hans Kämmerer GmbH from Wachtendonk in North Rhine-Westphalia. Hans Kämmerer GmbH manufactures and repairs wear and spare parts as well as complete components, primarily for the steel industry and metal processing industries as well as the chemical and paper processing industry. Hans Kämmerer GmbH employs around 100 people at its location on the Dutch border and generated sales of around EUR 12 million last year.
In order to secure future growth and development at the Wachtendonk location in the long term, the Kämmerer family decided to look for a structured succession solution at an early stage. Johannes Kämmerer is co-CEO and technical director of Hans Kämmerer.
“Following today's 3rd generation, there will be no more potential successors from the following 4th generation. Our father Hans Kämmerer will leave the company as a shareholder when Storskogen joins. We are pleased to have found a long-term new owner in Storskogen with whom we can continue our previous successful course. My brother Nicolas, as co-CEO and commercial director, and I will remain with a significant minority stake in Hans Kämmerer GmbH and will continue to be managing the company. In the coming years we will work with Storskogen to gradually expand our management team,” says Johannes Kämmerer is co-CEO and technical director of Hans Kämmerer.
Lars Nottehed, Managing Director of Storskogen Germany, sees Hans Kämmerer GmbH, with its skills in the field of maintenance, as an ideal addition to Storskogen’s industrial activities in Germany and Europe.
“We warmly welcome the entire Hans Kämmerer team to the Storskogen family and we are delighted about the cooperation," says Lars Nottehed, Managing Director of Storskogen Germany.
