Stockholm, Wallisellen, February 23rd, 2021 – Storskogen has completed its acquisition of a majority stake in PerfectHair.ch the largest online retailer of professional haircare- and beauty products in Switzerland. The transaction was completed on February 23rd, 2021; financial details have not been disclosed.

PerfectHair.ch was founded 2008 by Pascal Sagarra, his son Diego and Matthias Müller. Pascal, a passionate hairdresser, was always one of the best sellers of professional haircare products during his career as a hairdresser and salon owner of more than 50 years. In the course of the strong growth of the internet, the idea was born to sell these products – perfectly suited for e-commerce – online. Over the years PerfectHair.ch has enlarged its product portfolio massively. Today PerfectHair.ch not only sells haircare products but professional beauty products as well. More than 30'000 items and more than 300 brands are being offered online in the e-shop and offline in the five hair- and beauty salons located in the greater Zurich area.

Storskogen is a privately owned company founded in 2012 with a mission to acquire and operate well-managed and profitable companies with leading positions in their markets. It is divided into three business areas, consisting of 58 business units with over 3’700 employees, more than two-thirds of which are located outside metropolitan regions. Storskogen believes in nurturing the qualities that have made the companies it acquires successful and it is not in its intention to divest them.

With the backing of Storskogen, PerfectHair.ch will further strengthen its leading position as the number one player for professional haircare- and beauty products in Switzerland. Furthermore, the support of Storskogen offers additional opportunities, such as extending its product portfolio substantially or expanding its business to Europe and other countries.

Following the investment, PerfectHair.ch founders Diego Sagarra und Matthias Müller will remain in their roles as Co-CEOs and will continue as shareholders of PerfectHair.ch.

Diego Sagarra, Co-Founder of PerfectHair.ch, says: “At PerfectHair.ch we do everything to provide our clients with the best shopping experience they can wish for. In these 13 years, PerfectHair.ch has grown from a very small company to the leading Swiss online supplier of professional haircare- and beauty products. We are excited to be partnering with Storskogen as we continue to grow and to expand our business in Switzerland and abroad.”

Matthias Müller, Co-Founder of PerfectHair.ch expresses his delight at completing the transaction: “The journey from a two person to a more than 100 persons company has been great. It’s even better to partner now with a strong player like Storskogen. The internet and e-commerce as a part of it offers innumerable opportunities especially when it comes to technology. It’s great to be part of that unstoppable journey. Together with Storskogen we can improve and strengthen our knowledge even more, be it trade- or technology wise.”

Daniel Kaplan, CEO and founder of Storskogen said: “The acquisition of PerfectHair.ch is a milestone for Storskogen as it marks our first purchase of a company outside of the Nordic region. I am excited to welcome Diego Sagarra, Matthias Müller and the entire team at PerfectHair.ch to the Storskogen family of companies. We look forward to working with PerfectHair.ch in their continued successful endeavours to provide service quality for their clients and to remain the number one player for professional haircare- and beauty products in Switzerland.”

Mikael Neglén, Head of Business Area DACH at Storskogen mentioned: “We appreciate the proud history of PerfectHair.ch in their pursuit to transform 50 years of experience from the traditional hairstyling business into the online world. The combined forces of PerfectHair.ch and Storskogen is a perfect fit given our experience with similar companies that we own in Sweden and in Norway.”
