Storskogen Introduction

Storskogen is a Swedish investment company, founded in 2012, with a vision to be the best owner of small and medium-sized companies. Our focus is to acquire cashflow generative SMEs across a range of industries. The company compromises of about 300 companies divided into three business areas, Services, Industry and Trade, in turn divided into 13 business verticals. In 2021 Storskogen acquired 69 companies in the Nordic countries, the DACH-region and the UK.

Storskogen operates with a long-term perspective, with no intention to divest, the focus is to support our businesses to reach their potential.

In late 2020 Storskogen opened our UK office based in London and have so far made six acquisitions, SGS Engineering, Julian Bowen, Tornado Group, Extra UK, Stop Start Transport, Fabco Sancutary and J&D Pierce. Storskogen UK has an ambition to be highly acquisitive in the coming future and is well capitalised. 

Investment Criteria

  • Companies with an enterprise value in the range of GBP 5-150m across a wide range of industries 

  • Companies with a strong position in a niche market with stable positive cashflows 

  • EBIT in the range GBP 2-20m with a sweet spot of GBP 3-8m 

  • EBIT-margins of at least 7% over time 

  • Storskogen typically acquire companies at an EBIT multiple between 3x-12x, with the sweet spot between 5x-8x

  • Storskogen is a flexible buyer, we listen to the selling party and accommodate a desired deal structure for both parties
