Storskogen acquires Scandia Steel

Stockholm, 3 May 2021 - Storskogen has acquired the majority of the shares in Scandia Steel. The company is a leading Scandinavian supplier of steel pipe piles in foundation and foundation reinforcements.

Scandia Steel AB has 94 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 400 million. The company's product development and sales take place via the head office in Stockholm, while manufacturing and product testing take place in Kretinga, Lithuania. Thorulf Hamfors, the CEO of Scandia Steel, and will remain in his operational role after the acquisition.

With a strong focus on product development, Scandia Steel has established a comprehensive product range with piles adapted to all soil and base types. With the market's largest product range, the company can offer tailor-made solutions for customers' specific wishes.

The company will be part of Storskogen's business area Industry, which is led by Fredrik Bergegård.
